Paul McCartney & Alec Baldwin to Honor John Lennon’s 80th Birthday on SiriusXM’s The Beatles Channel

Paul McCartney and Alec Baldwin are taking over SiriusXM’s The Beatles Channel on Friday to celebrate the life of John Lennon, who would’ve turned 80 that day.

Their exclusive programming will begin airing at 11 a.m. ET and run throughout the weekend and next week, featuring McCartney reflecting on his bandmate and friend in conversation with Baldwin and Sean Ono Lennon guest DJing with his favorite songs by his father (both from his solo discography and with The Beatles) while remembering his favorite childhood memories.

“It’s lovely to think he would have been 80. And, you know, that’s nice to imagine him at 80,” McCartney told Baldwin in a SiriusXM preview snippet. “I think he would be very literate. I think he would be writing, not necessarily just music ’cause he was starting to get into, he did a couple of little books. I think he would have matured nicely.”
