Richard Porter at Studios where The Beatles recorded Hey Jude
Trident Studios is in St Anne’s Court Soho. It is very easy to walk by it and not realise it is there.
There is SO much musical history there! It was opened in early 1968 by Norman and Barry Sheffield. It got it’s big break when The Beatles recorded Hey Jude in the studio, along with some tracks from the ‘White Album’.
Later, David Bowie recorded the Hunky Dory and Ziggy Stardust albums at Trident, Queen did early recordings there – as did Elton John, Carly Simon, Lou Reed, etc etc
