ERIC CLAPTON EXCITES HIS FANS WITH A PROJECT RELATED TO THE BEATLES STAR GEORGE HARRISON

The well-known rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton shared a post on his official Instagram page announcing a collaboration with the Beatles’ deceased lead guitarist George Harrison, with whom he had quite an interesting history.

As you may remember, Eric Clapton and George Harrison were the two sides of a famous love triangle including the English photographer Pattie Boyd. Clapton fell in love with Boyd while she was married to his friend, George Harrison. After George and Pattie got divorced, Eric got married to his friend’s ex-wife which was also a failed marriage after all.

According to Eric Clapton’s recent announcement, a remake of George Harrison’s song ‘Be Here Now’ will be out and proceeds will benefit Clapton’s foundation ‘Turn Up For Recovery.’ ‘Be Here Now’ is a song by Harrison which was released with his 1973 album ‘Living in the Material World.’ The song has received critical attention for its dreamlike sound and the quality of Harrison’s acoustic guitar playing.

‘Turn up for Recovery’ was founded by Eric Clapton and his wife, Melia Clapton, and aims to raise awareness of abstinence-based recovery, tackle the stigma of addiction, and help to make treatments affordable to people struggling with substance addiction. The community organizes fundraising gigs and events all over the world to talk about abstinence-based recovery and raise funds to help provide treatment for those in need.
