January 31st 1969 – The Long and Winding Road to Let it Be

Most people think the ‘rooftop’ concert was the climax of the filming of what became ‘Let it Be’. Well actually, it wasn’t. On January 31st 1969, the Beatles filmed performances of some of the ‘slower’ tracks from the album, ‘Let it Be’ ‘The Long and Winding Road’ and ‘Two of Us’.
